You may not see the adverse effects of neglect right away\u2014but it\u2019s SO important to catch early signs of gingivitis, micro fractures, and cavities.<\/li>\n<li>You may think oral cancer only affects smokers or the elderly, but <strong>20\u201340 year olds are the fastest growing demographic for oral cancer<\/strong>. Learn more about <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mouthhealthy.org\/en\/az-topics\/o\/oral-cancer\" target=\"_blank\">oral cancer signs and risk factors<\/a><\/strong>, and make sure you\u2019re regularly screened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Should Do\u2019s, Ages 20\u201340:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Are your wisdom teeth adversely affecting your bite?<\/strong> Will they be a problem in the future, or a risk factor for infections? Most people have their wisdom teeth removed during their late teens or early 20\u2019s. If you haven\u2019t had them removed, be sure to have them checked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Every woman should know that during pregnancy<\/strong> hormonal changes can inflame gums and increase the odds for gingivitis.
